INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING SERVICES
SMALL STEPS CAN LEAD TO BIG PROGRESS
One of the bravest and most important steps in life is taking on true and honest self exploration. Therapy can be extremely helpful in that process and I am honored to be a part of your journey. My therapeutic approach includes utilizing neuroscience and updated research to encourage better self understanding and increase practical coping skills. I foster a warm, open hearted therapy experience to work along side of patients to identify social, physical, emotional, spiritual, and personal goals that break down barriers to achieving healing and joy.

EMDR:
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a psychotherapy technique that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing memories.
EMDR involves using eye movements, along with other forms of bilateral stimulation (such as tapping or auditory cues), to help individuals access and reprocess their traumatic memories. This process can help them reduce the negative emotions, beliefs, and physical sensations associated with these memories.
EMDR has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and phobias. It is a well-established and evidence-based therapy that can be beneficial for individuals who have experienced trauma of different kinds.
Relationships with others and ourselves are so impactful on our quality of life. By utilizing IFS, EMDR, Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory principals, we can gain better understanding on how we interact with the world.

Trauma
As a trained social worker with 11 year’s experience in the field, I’ve worked in a number of settings including the school system, medical facilities, and group practices. I’m a helper at heart and some of my guiding principals as a therapist are: mental health and physical are interconnected and health is not defined by a number on a scale, human beings are innately wired for connection, and success and well being are completely subjective and shouldn’t be defined by anyone but yourself.
